HISTORY: In 1985 Citroën launched a competition and the first price was the new model of the 2CV . As fan, Mr. Eric Vautrot knew all the answers to the questions, except the last one: How many BX will be produced by the end of 1985 ?
So he joined the competition under the names of different family members and was able to win not even the first price (2CV) for his brother Pascal but also price three (autoradio), four and six (umbrellas). That was so embarrassing for Citroën that they’ve never published the results of the competition.
Pascal got his car at the dealership in Brunoy and gave him to his brother Eric after a while who used it only sparely in the area of Reims. In 2003, Eric drove it to the family’s possession close to Perpignan. After Eric’s death Pascal got the 2CV back but did not know what to do with it. He contacted a local special garage named “L'Escaladeuche“.
The boss there, Mr. Jean-Marc Pizot, noted the extraordinary status of the car and recommended Mr. Vautrot to contact me.
I did not wait for a third lookdown and picked up the car Christmas eve 2020.
