HISTORY: On the opening of the second part of the museum, I made contact again with Mr Peix of Saint-Girons. I let him know that I had kept my word about displaying the GS that he had sold to me 6 years earlier. It was at this time that he told me about the existence of an exceptional DS. That led to me obtaining the car after long negotiations. It was owned by a Mr Authouart, a lorry driver, who ordered his 3rd DS, in part exchange for his 1966 DS21 Pallas. Very attached to his new purchase and anxious to keep it in the best possible condition, he stored it inside his house, 1 meter from his dining table! The car was to be stored like this for 40 years at constant temperature, which explains its remarkable condition. Mr Authouart had the good sense to start it monthly and keep it serviced. He would make only one long trip to his native Normandy.
